Meet the L5 principals

Sometimes it’s not a bad thing to get sent to the principal’s office.

The Level 5 founders are a group of smart, savvy market researchers who started as colleagues and came together as friends to bring our shared dream of what healthcare market research could (and should) be to life.

We are thought leaders and advocates, we are empathetic and creative, we’re moms of the 2-legged, 4-legged, finned and feathered kind, we are readers, and artists, and true-crime enthusiasts.  While we should be runners, after all our "decades of experience," our knees and ankles are shot.

Ultimately, we are simply good humans who want to work with, for, and on behalf of other good humans.

And we're ready to bring a fresh perspective and quality insights to healthcare.

  • Renu is a born leader with a proven track record of delivering results across all stages of the product life cycle, from ideation and concept testing to launch and post-marketing evaluation. She has successfully managed and grown multi-million-dollar accounts, built qualitative SBUs from scratch, and led teams of skilled researchers – all while forming lasting relationships and earning the loyalty of clients, partners, and teammates alike.

Renu’s love of all things shopping led her to an early start in fashion retail. Though she hasn’t yet achieved her childhood dream of being either a singer or a make-up artist, she ran her own image management & consulting business for a while in between taking her amazing sense of style and business smarts to the world of healthcare market research.

Tirelessly selfless, caring, and compassionate, Renu pours her heart into everything she does – whether it be mentoring and motivating high-performing teams or raising a house full of good humans (and toy poodles). Her ability to truly listen serves her well among clients, teammates, and respondents – allowing her to create an environment where others can thrive and grow.

When not uncovering insightful and actionable solutions across the healthcare and life sciences industries, Renu enjoys cleaning and organizing (yes, really), cooking, playing mah-jongg with the neighborhood ladies – and is also a budding artist.

  • Heather has spent nearly her entire professional career in healthcare market research. She was initially a pre-med major in college but quickly realized that her skillset matched better with the fearless pursuit of asking tough questions and searching for answers that primary research demands.

While also experienced in complex quantitative methodologies, Heather brings an objective, level-headed perspective to Level 5, having conducted hundreds of in-depth interviews and focus groups with a wide variety of humans. Her sharp intelligence allows her to engage with KOL’s and executives on their level, while her sense of humor, empathy, and friendly demeanor make even the shyest respondent feel welcome.

Though Heather’s therapeutic experience extends across numerous categories, she has devoted the past 10 years of her career focusing on the unique needs of rare disease communities. She finds purpose in helping Industry connect with Rare communities and guiding them on the use of empathy in product and program design.

When she’s not authoring whitepapers or brainstorming new methodologies with her Level 5 colleagues, Heather can be found binge-watching true-crime series on Netflix or relaxing on her back deck with her husband, children, and rescue babies – Moose, Abigail, and Leo.

  • Danielle’s love of asking questions spans her nearly 30-year career in market research. She has conducted both qualitative and quantitative research around the globe, while cultivating relationships and bringing people together with her outgoing personality and sense of humor.

She brings a unique perspective to the healthcare world, having started in advertising and strategic planning after graduating from Manhattan College with a B.S. in Business Administration. During this phase of her career, Danielle worked on CPG, telecommunications, airline, automotive, and B2B brands before transitioning to healthcare.

Danielle partners with pharmaceutical and biotech companies across all stages of their products’ lifecycles – as early as garnering insights from clinical trial patients and staff. She loves the feeling of connection she gets through the deep, meaningful conversations with respondents, particularly patients and caregivers. Clients appreciate how she can look at all the pieces and put them together in a way that just makes sense.

Danielle cares about the world and all the humans who live on this planet. Her selfless, giving nature means she can often be found making the world a better place by volunteering her time on local committees that benefit her neighbors and community. Despite living in the Philly area for the past 20+ years she still identifies as a New Yorker. When not digging up actionable insights and uncovering compelling stories, she loves to curl up with a good book and her poodles, Leo and Liza, spending time on the Jersey Shore, and especially doing anything with her husband Michael and son Steven.
